We found out we were pregnant on Christmas night, 2011. We were both so excited, anxious and couldn't believe we were actually going to have a baby. Morning sickness (all day), heartburn, aching ribs(she was soooo long), tired back, peeing constantly, Braxton hicks, smells that made me want to barf, stretch marks, feeling like I couldn't breathe.....all things that were so worth it on August 17, 2012 when our beautiful girl arrived.
I was induced a week early, I had been having lots of contractions and was so over being pregnant. Plus with Kyle being a wild land fire fighter, and it being smack dab in the middle of fire season we didn't know for sure if he would make it to her birth if I did go into labor on my own and he was out on a fire somewhere with no cell reception. So early Thursday morning, August 16 I was induced. And after 30 hours of labor, 3 epidurals and lots of feeling like I was going to starve to death, Harper Grace made her arrival at 2:38pm. She was beautiful (despite looking like she had been smashed haha), had so much hair and weighed 8lbs, 7oz, and was 22in long. Our lives changed for the better that day and it was wonderful.
